I have officially started searching the Mock Draft sites for the 2007 draft after watching the mess in the Meadowlands. I have to admit up front that I actually enjoyed watching us lose in every imaginable way last season so we could pick..........Reggie Bush, no Vince Young, MARIO WILLIAMS!
It is feasible that we do not win another game except MAYBE the Cleveland game. That would give us a pretty solid draft position. So far most sites have the Texans picking: Adrian Peterson RB Oklahoma LaRon Landry FS LSU I guess that is why we all love pro football so much. There is always NEXT year!!!!!

we need more draft picks... we need to move out of our first round position to gain extra 2nd and 3rd round selections... we have so MANY freaking holes to fill!!!

What if Brady Quinn falls into our lap?

No way.
This year everyone hates Carr cuz he throws the short route when he has a shot downfield. Next year everyone would hate Quinn cuz he always takes the shot downfield even when he has a guy open underneath. He will be good in the NFL, but I dont want him. He will get good yds and lots of TDs but he will throw too many INTs in the beginning of his career. |

He is a winner! He can lead his team from behind.
Someone would pay a high price to select him if we DID NOT want to draft him. Does anyone know if Dominic Davis is coming back next year? Adrian Peterson or Darren McFadden would look nice in our backfield.

As for Quinn, I believe he will be the best QB in this draft but he woulda been the 4th best last year so he isnt the greatest QB ever. Leinart & Young were winners too. They won national championships. But we passed on them. |

In fact, has any original Texans player? What? They are a team? Wins & losses are team stats? Not QB stats? Do you think that John Elway in his prime could lead the Raiders to a winning season this year? I dont. It is a team game. |

Yep we get the bust and four other teams get the front line OLT prospects. Same old, same old.

Interesting, Landry falls to 18 under this scenario. Long way to go, but like I posted earlier, we don't get the OLT prospect with the first pick, we ain't getting one. So which year do we go for our anchor on the o-line? I mean it's been five years since Bosselli. When does this club address this five year old festering wound. Untill the baby is DOA ? Inquiring minds would like to know ?

Trade down, trade down, trade down. Get as many picks as you can. Every postion except the MLB and WR spots are upgradeable. That's how awful this team is right now.

this draft isn't good enough for someone to make a big trade into the top 10.

As much as I like AP I would rather have Marshawn Lynch.

I wouldnt mind drafting a QB with our first pick. Quinn would get a year of sitting behind Carr to learn the offense and all that good stuff, since Carr has 1 year after this on the contract because of the extention. That would work out perfect.

If we go quarterback it should be Drew Stanton, just because of all of the intangibles he brings to the table.

If you're going strictly on intangables, you go Troy Smith. What special intangiables does Stanton have that Carr didn't have at Fresno St.??

I really hope we trade down, we can pick up a playmaker that will change our team with the 15 pick as good as the #4 pick. And kubes did such a great job last year I believe he can find great talent like he did spencer in the 3rd etc.

Is Joe Thomas overrated or something? I don't hear anyone mentioning his name...I really see LT as a need position for the Texans.

Our first pick, OLB, DT to help our DB look better. I sure don't mind picking up DB as well. I just wish that we didn't had to give up so much draft choices for PB last year.
