Default Snippet about AJ/Moulds

http://msn.foxsports.com/nfl/story/6088090

Stats we believe in...and why

The DPAR Rankings of Houston's Eric Moulds and Andre Johnson. There are several effective receiver duos throughout the league Carolina's Steve Smith/Keyshawn Johnson, Dallas' Terry Glenn/The Other Guy, Arizona's Anquan Boldin/Larry Fitzgerald, Indy's Marvin Harrison/Reggie Wayne and Cincy's Chad Johnson/T.J. Houshmandzadeh.

The twosome nobody's talking about is Moulds and Johnson, the NFL's leader in combined DPAR for receivers through the first six weeks of the season. DPAR (Defense-adjusted Points Above Replacement, explained here) is a cumulative number representing the total number of points scored due to plays where this WR caught the ball, compared to a replacement-level WR in the same game situations. The Texans are ranked 23rd in overall offensive DVOA and 30th in rushing DVOA, but it's the passing game (ranked 15th) that allows them to do things such as beating the Jacksonville Jaguars, 27-7 the first time in team history the Texans have won back-to-back games at home, as amazing as that sounds.. Keep an eye on these guys Houston won't challenge for the AFC South crown, but they have the aerial game to make a few games very interesting.
