Leftwich ? to play and other Jags...
Quoted from injury reports from NFL.com,
"Jags' Leftwich questionable to face Texans
NFL.com wire reports
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (Oct. 20, 2006) -- Jaguars quarterback Byron Leftwich missed practice Oct 20 and was scheduled to have tests on his sore left ankle, the same one that caused him to miss five games last season.
Leftwich was added to the team's injury report and listed as questionable for the Week 7 game at Houston.
He took his normal practice repetitions Oct. 18 and 19, but coach Jack Del Rio said he experienced soreness in his ankle in the morning Oct. 20. Leftwich did not attend the workout and was not available for comment.
Del Rio said Leftwich would have an MRI later in the day.
"Any time your starting quarterback misses time, there's a concern," Del Rio said, adding that he will try to get backups David Garrard and Quinn Gray ready if needed.
Leftwich fractured a bone in his left ankle last season and missed the final five games. He returned for Jacksonville's first-round playoff game at New England, but was clearly rusty.
Team officials were unsure whether Leftwich's soreness was related to last year's injury.
Leftwich has completed nearly 61 percent of his passes for 1,034 yards, seven touchdowns and five interceptions this season.
If injured, Leftwich would be the latest in a growing list for the Jags (3-2). The team already is without linebacker Mike Peterson, defensive end Reggie Hayward and running back Greg Jones for the season.
Also, defensive tackle Marcus Stroud (ankle), receiver Matt Jones (hamstring) and backup offensive lineman Stockar McDougle (ankle) were ruled out against the Texans.
Defensive end Marcellus Wiley (groin) and cornerback Terry Cousin (groin) joined Leftwich as questionable. "

Re: Leftwich ? to play and other Jags...
I imagine Jones would be playing if they were playing Indy this week. He's had 3 weeks to heal a bad hammy. Clayton said similar things about Leftwich... they think they can win without him, so why take a chance.
