It is funny how the media portrays the Texans, and in this case Mario Williams. They had not shown the sacks (1.5) at all. All they showed was the offense on the play backs. Personnally I think the nationl media is the biggest haters of anyone! If it was Bush he would have been all over the TV.

Hey..if Bush would've had 1.5 sacks that WOULD'VE been worthy of the top highlights.

First, this is not supposed to be a "they hate us" thread. Second, I will enjoy this win. Third, as a moderator, why are you so negative, are you even a Texans fan because there have been quite a few examples of your negative posts, you even said one time that you are being a realist. All I am saying is that credit should be given when credit is due, that is it. |

It's pretty typical to just show the big offensive plays. Defensive plays shown are usually interceptions that result in a TD.

At halftime show, CBS analysts introduce the Saints-Panthers clip with (you guessed it) Reggie Bush on the sideline, announcing "And there's Reggie Bush getting ready for the game" and then there's no reggie Bush clip. None.
You show a guy to introduce or kick off the game clips, and he's not even shown ONE time...at all...doing anything...at all. It's no joke: They could have played it unbiased, showing Mario and the celebration and how for Texans fans we got a glimpse of promise in OUR first round pick. But nope, can't do THAT can they? That should have been a second sack (full credit) for Mario. Demeco's pressure put Culpepper to willingly lay down on the ground, but Demeco did not touch Culpepper before Mario did. Mario is the one who grazed Culpepper to establish the sack. Stat line should read 2 sacks for Mario.

I don't think we've ever been given good highlight packages. We just haven't sparked the media's interest enough yet.

Then they try to cover their rears and bring it back...and leave it there for two seconds. Thanks, you jerks. It's not like you couldn't have just shown us the replays if the Colts made a good play or something. Twirps. I pay $$$$ for Sunday Ticket, and I want to see my team to the end, the very end, even if it's a loss. That's MY money, for MY team. There's other channels with those two teams on them. Gimmee a break.

Yes. They went quickly to the Colts without showing us the last play, then they JUMPED BACK to show us the teams coming onto the field after final whistle.
THEN.....they jumped back to the Jets-Colts about 3 seconds later. No postgame commentary by analysts, no sideline interview with embattled head coach Kubiak getting his FIRST NFL win as a head coach. Pretty bad job of calling the broadcast shots, if you ask me. But par for the course when you live in Texas and you're NOT the Cowboys.

they rarely show defensive highlight even from the established big name defensive stars. plus for the national media anything mario does is an abberation and reggie is flat out the better player and there is no convincing them otherwise.
