Default Andre Johnson new starting RB for the Texans

As much as Davis catch's the ball and as big and fast as Johnson is the Texans should try him at tail back.

Now, that would get a lot of laughs. Johnson rushes for 100+ yds. and Davis catches a couple of bombs.

AP Wire - Dom Capers is going to attempt to score more than twice this week according to inside sources. Furthermore, the Texans are secretly working on newly developed offensive techniques. According to the source, something new called "play-action" is secretely being developed for use in first down situations. The hope is that Kansas City will be so taken aback by this new weapon that 21 points are not only possible, but likely. Once 21 points are on the board, Capers is expected to go into a single wing formation, A rarely used offensive formation devised by legendary coach Pop Warner that will use three backfield teammates to block for Dominck Davis. This is also called the Turtle formation in house.

Ya know, if Johnson DID start at RB, maybe Carr would throw him the friggin' BALL, since that's where he's usually looking after 2 seconds... :hehe:

We need to realize that Andre isn't always going to be open. Until big plays are spread throughout all the receivers...the defenses will be focusing on stopping him. Until we start throwing the ball a little bit more loosely...it'll be hard to gain respect for the other receivers.

He won't always be open, but I'm sure he's gettin open more than just 2 or 3 times per game. He's our #1 reciever and we have to find some way to get the ball to him.

SHOCKING: The Texans showed up Sunday in Kansas City as a revamped team. After deciding to start Andrea Johnson at RB and place Davis at wide out, Capers made a strange decision to switch Carr with Dunta Robinson, hoping for more pass protection. This strange team reached further appeal by placing Chester Pitts as the Punt Return man.

Andrea Johnson rushed for 100+ yds and did not fumble. Not surprisingly, he's pretty decent at the catch and run, as a dump off guy. Dunta Robinson threw 2 interceptions, but had 5 touchdown passes, 4 of which were caught by Dominick Davis. He also proved to be an incredible scrambler and did just that for a total of 75 yards in the game. Dunta made one incredible reception on a pass that was tipped at the line. He threw it and caught 20 yds. down field, but was then hit hard by a defender who later stated, "I didn't know if he picked it off or if I sacked him, or what the heck was goin' on." 2 other passes were caught by Davis for big yardage, but he fumbled them. "They tried to bump me at the line, but it didn't stop me much," he said after the game. The Texans still won the turnover ratio when David Carr completed the game with 6 interceptions. On one Int., he caught the ball and then tried to pass it back up field to Jasin Babin, who was too busy beating on the opposing QB to notice. Chester Pitts ran slow and methodically. He was hit by a lot of coverage players and 4 of them will not be playing the rest of this season. When asked about this, Dick Vermiel simply stated that, "That JJ Moses has really grown. God, he's huge!"

Chief's corners were flagged for illegal pass coverage on several occasions when they tackled DD during pass routes. One's reply was, "He keeps getting past the D-line. What am I supposed to do?" On the flip side, David Carr complained a lot about protection. One comment stated that, "....and, every time I touch the ball, somebody is chasing me. I only got one pass off all day and the receiver decided to just lay on the ground and punch some little guy a bunch of times. I swear, he wasn't even expecting a pass."

Dick Vermeil was quoted after the game as saying, "Those guys are *****s. They don't even know what side of the ball they play on. I have to admit, though, they beat us 76 to 10. I've never seen a QB pick off another QB like that or a punt returner knock OUT some of my biggest coverage men, LITERALLY! GOD, JJ MOSES HAS GROWN!"

When later asked about the strange success of this new team, Capers said, "I don't like it. Davis wouldn't fumble if he was an RB. Plus, we're passing the ball too much. How are we supposed to control the clock, if we keep scoring? "

Something is seriously wrong when our leading reciever in both yards and receptions for 2 straight games is our Running Back??

While DD has been effective (10+ yards per catch) it is worrisom on a couple of levels. I worry that our young recievers will get bored running up and down the field and not getting thrown to. They are good guys, but they still want the ball SOME and to have the RB be the leading reciever isn't a good message to them. The other thing is that you start perpetuating the belife, even subsonciusly, that DD is the offense. That puts to much on DD and if he is having a bad game takes to much belief out of the team that they can move the ball. I don't think we are there yet, but it seems we are heading that direction.

Naw, AJ runs up to high (big hitting target). Plus no leg drive after contact to break tackles of 300 lbs Dline men. Goes down to easy. Now if you trying to catch him from the side he can break tackle but not straight up pad to pad
