Quote:
(on the Texans play after the first drive) “We didn’t do anything good after that. I take full responsibility. That’s my group out there, and we have to get better. It’s my responsibility to make sure we go out and play for four quarters.” (on the Texans defense) “It wasn’t good. We didn’t stop them all day except for the first drive. We’ll have to take a hard look at what we’re doing, how we’re doing it and who we’re doing it with. We’ve got a long way to go. I take responsibility for that and I have to find a way to fix it.” (on the loss overall) “It’s extremely disappointing. You want to see progress in what you’re doing and today was definitely not progress. You can’t play for just a series or a quarter, you have to play all day.” (on being so hard on himself) “That’s the way I feel. That was ugly today. Some of the things that happened out there today are inexcusable, but I take full responsibility.” Link

Good coach and he is right, it is his responsibility.

Since he is taking responsibility, it will be interesting to see if he rethinks some of his methods. If he really thinks some of the problems are directly his fault I would expect to see some change in his actions.

.. and then?

yep, good coach. Much better than using the "e" word over and over. Seems he's realizing how much work there is ahead of this team, but still have the faith he will.
It's just baffling how the first series D can go 3 and out then our offense flies down the field for a score.... then nothing. |

Serious Question: Can anyone point out to me one time when Dom Capers took responsibility for a bad game?
