Texans make roster moves

HOUSTON - The Houston Texans have signed the following player, it was announced today:

NAME POS HT WT EXP COLLEGE
Roy Manning LB 6-2 250 2 Michigan

Additionally, the Texans waived the following player:

NAME POS HT WT EXP COLLEGE
Brad Bedell T 6-4 307 5 Colorado

The Texans also signed the following players to the practice squad:

NAME POS HT WT EXP COLLEGE
David Anderson WR 5-10 197 R Colorado State
Robert Douglas FB 6-2 237 1 Memphis
Anthony Maddox DT 6-1 295 3 Delta State
Chris Taylor RB 6-0 224 R Indiana
John Walker S 6-1 204 R Southern California

The Texans waived the following player from the practice squad:

NAME POS HT WT EXP COLLEGE
Kevin Curtis S 6-2 213 2 Texas Tech

The Texans currently have 53 players on the active roster and eight players on the practice squad.

Do we? Sorry, I just kept seeing people crying about Taylor getting cut. I didn't know he had been signed to the practice squad until now.

Lucky for you we have Kubiak leading the team and the mods now. He doesn't hesitate to start rookies. I guess since I'm an overpriced vet I might be going the way of Robaire Smith or Todd Wade.

I think he (Roy Manning) backed up A.J. Hawk or at least thats what I have been hearing. And its not like you can cut your first-round pick regardless of how he performs. In the first year you pretty much get a free pass. After that your on your own.
