The Associated Press reports Houston Texans TE Owen Daniels earned head coach Gary Kubiak's praise with his performance Saturday, Aug. 12. Kubiak said, "He played well. He's a fine young player. The preseason is going to tell if he's going to be able to help this team quickly." Kubiak likes that Daniels is good at both receiving and blocking, something Daniels takes pride on. However, Daniels continues to work on his blocking and said he's "getting to like it."
