I Am Kidding About Cutting Him, He Will Be A Great Player Very Soon. I Just Cant Believe That He Fell Backwards On A Simple Stuter Step From The Wide Receiver He Was Covering. He Also Had A Stupid "illegal Use Of The Hands" Penalty On Him Followed By A Pass Interference A Few Plays Later That Cost A Total Of 40+/- Yards.

I Am Not Getting Down On The Guy, I Just Wished He Would Have Done Those Mistakes In The Pre-season.

but Hey, At Least The Cowboys Lost And Did Anyone Else Love Keyshawn Johnson's Summersault Followed By The Crashing Thud!!

I can't say I did. I thought it was unsportsmanship at it's best by Winfield's part. I think hits like that on anyone are uncalled for.

It was Brian Williams, not Winfield. Robinson is gonna get picked on all year and is gonna make stupid mistakes, you gotta give a corner time. Newman got eaten up all day by not only Moss, but the rest of Vikings receivers....you just have to give the young corners time to develop and read plays better.

We just need better pass rush, if you give a QB alot of time to throw it won't matter what corner you got out there, he can't hold them forever. The thing Eagles were really good at that make Vincent and Taylor look really good was pass rush, they always had someone chasin the QB and that made Taylor and Vincent look good(not to say their bad, their really good).

I do admit Eric Brown needs to go though, hes truely opened all of NFL's eyes bein picked on all day by the TE. I can see this happening every game. Gates is a pro bowl caliber tight end though, I don't understand why they diden't put Coleman on him?

Ok did you happen to see how they played football in the 70s and 80s ,,,and you think that was physical ??? I'm sorry but they are taking the Physical out of football with all of the Rules they keep putting into the game,,, its getting to be where they dont even need pads anymore !!! I LOVED that hit 360 one of the best i've seen in a long time !

He could have hit him in the upper body and would have been just as exciting. Seeing a player carried out on a stretcher isn't a laughing matter....I'm just glad that Johnson came out alright. I don't think that you were jumping in excitement when K. Brown was on the floor after giving that hit during the return....yes the hit was nice but to see a player going out isn't what the NFL should be known as. Just a bit less of a rotation and he could have landed on his neck......again, I'm glad he came out alright (keyshawn, as annoying as he might be).

I agree i dont want to see anybody get hurt ,,,,but like that hit kris brown delivered ! I mean ya wont see many kickers do that anymore like you used to. The rule is it them harder than they hit you and it wont hurt. I'm glad everyone ok i'm just saying that the NFL is not near as physcial as it used to be.

TRUE, I DIDNT LAUGH AT K.BROWNS HIT I JUST THOUGHT HE WAS AN ***** FOR DIVING WITH HIS HEAD LIKE A TORPEDO. THAT WHY HE WAS HURT, BECAUSE KICKERS NEVER LEARNED HOW TO TACKLE.

KEYSHAWN - WILLIAMS PLAY WAS THE FAULT OF TESTAVERDE FOR SETTING UP KEYSHAWN WITH A BAD PASS. BUT TESTAVERDE DIDNT LEARN AND SET-UP KEYSHAWN THE VERY NEXT PLAY WHERE WILLIAMS POPPED KEYSHAWN AGAIN.

Well, that's the beauty of K. Brown....he doesn't like to stay out of the game....even if it means he needs to make a tackle on the return. Well, at least that was his philosophy before game 1.....maybe he had a change of heart from one day after another. :hehe: Let's hope so....we can't do without him.

Bradford made a spectacular catch down the middle where he was spinning and flipping in he air for a sec. at Denver. It was his first reception I think.

Dunta Robinson had a good game with the exception of the slip and nobody had over the top on the TD pass but that was about the only play were I saw he was lacking for a starting CB. The flag on him was just about the worst call I have seen in a long time...he clearly was making a play at the ball(HE DID KNOCK IT DOWN!!!). Anyway, I saw him make sevearl open field tackles and cover his man pretty good all day. Now on the other hand, did you see Brown getting beat by a TE??? All day long..they ran that same slant and he just couldn't do anything like step in and change the pattern!!! That is the DB you should be dogging on...not Dunta.

He was way guilty on the pass interference (arm bar). Watch the replay.

I agree with AJ on this one. If you watch the replay you'll see Dunta sliding his left arm in front of the reciever and then he holds the recievers right arm down as he jumps up for the ball. It's a shame because it looked as if Brees underthrew the ball a bit, and if Dunta had just kept up with him and not used the arm bar he would have had a shot at an INT.

On the play where Robinson slipped, it seemed to me in the stands that there was a problem with the scheme, or defense call. The coverage guys were acting confused. I appreciate that a CB has to deal with that without falling later, but I wonder if anyone else noticed it. It felt like the Texans secondary was having trouble with their calls. I wasn't sure if it was because it was the first game and they didn't have a lot on the Chargers this year. Is this standard for early games? Or was it because Coleman was new to calling defenses (after the coaches call).

I noticed it too. I think Coleman was designated to the deep middle of the field, and Brown was either covering Gates or he may have bit on play action (can't remember if there was PA or not). It still seems that Coleman would have to be as a deep as the deepest man, and he should've been back to at least contest the pass to Caldwell. I think you could contribute it to Coleman's getting used to the position and making the calls.

i agree there is a lot of the physical aspect of the game being taken out of the game with all these unneccesary rules...like the hit john lynch put on hall...5 years ago that's a clean hit and he wouldn't have been flagged for it...and if you want to go on with all the cheap shot thing...if your on the field and you have pads on as long as the hit isn't from behind in my mind it's clean...and as a DB your taught to keep the reciever from catching the ball at all times...so if he's jumping in the air the best way to get him not to catch it to take his feet from under him...yeah i know there are plenty of injuries that occur from that but that's football

It's not easy being a rookie corner and Robinson was responsible for 10 Charger points, whiffing on Caldwell's touchdown and interfering to set up a field goal. Dunta made some good plays too, as did fellow rookie Jason Babin, but late in the game Demarcus Faggins had taken his spot. Welcome to the NFL, rook.

At the best hope for mid season adjustments by the rookies & the defense that hasn't yet played together as a unit, they all seemed nervous. The net result was what I expected 27 Charger points. The maturation of the offense is what befuddled me all the turnovers were simply too much, assessing Dunta -10 points comes with the territory I guess but should be expected, coughing up 4 turnovers....game
