Any thoughts from you guys on this game? Is this a redemption game for the Colts or will the Pats come out ready to defend their title?

The Pats are still a better team. Even with this more enforced rule. They are just stacked. The Colts have no D. And the Pats do.

I think the Colts will win, they have something to prove. Plus NE knows it takes more than one week to win a SB. Look at last year, they started slow, lost to Buffalo week one, but they turned it on when it counts.

I think it will be a good game, but I think the Colts will win it. NE will miss Washington on the line, and Edge will be able to run. When Indy is able to run then the play action can kill you because you need to bring a safety down to help guard against it. They have both TEs back, and I think the refs will make it a point of emphasis to call the 5 yd rule at least 3 or 4 times in this game. The SB MVP will make it a close game, but Indy will come out with a win.

I think NE will just squeek by. Plus i'm praying for the colts to start off 0-1.

Pretty wet in NE right now. Should favor the Pats if it stays that way. If it gets dry, the Colts passing will overcome the Pats.

The only weather I think the colts are worried about is the snow, because then the Pats will try their good ole tuck rule play. :hehe:

Pressuring the QB will be even more important now with the new enforcement of the 5 yd rule. I think the Pats won't be as effective in getting pressure on Manning as they were with Ted Washington in there, but then again Bellicheck is very tricky, and has had all year to work on a scheme to compensate for his loss. I'm like a kid on Christmas morning. I can't wait for the real games to start, but I gotta wait another 6+ hours

I'm just about to start watching because my Tivo is recording The Apprentice right now. I know it's blasphemy, but I hate MNF so much that I can stand not watching the whole game just to be spared this crew for a little while longer.

I guess I can check the score now.

Solved my dilemma. Have the TV on mute while listening to iTunes. Much better. Of course, that'll have to change when boyfriend gets home.

Guess I'd better find my headphones.

P.S. - I find it impossible to root for the Patriots. I LOATHE them.

Colts' passing D looks pretty bad this game. We all know how DD runs against thier D as well, looks like we have a good shot to beat them this year.

Their offense does look good but thier defense, minus that INT, looks horrible..
