Vic Carucci, of NFL.com, reports Houston Texans TE Bennie Joppru has noticed a change in the attitude the new coaching regime has brought to the team, "Last year at this time, there were probably about 10 guys down in Houston (at the team's facility). On July 6, we had an optional run and 27 or 30 guys showed up for the run." Joppru will be looking to make an impact with the increased role of the tight ends in the offense and says fans will be very happy with the team's performance this season.

yeah, me, too.

Hopefully BJ stays healthy and we get a chance to see him in action this year. I've always liked offenses with good TEs, because they are so versatile. It would be nice to see a few new wrinkles in our gameplans this year.

Actually the 10 guys there the year before might be more important - they were there to be ready regardless of other issues.

Does it matter that he was one of the ten last year. Obviously he had to be there to know how many were there. Or that's what it sounds like.

I'm sure they have different people showing up each day since everything they are doing now is voluntary and some guys will work out on their own or take some kind of vacation during this time before training camp starts. It is definitely encouraging to hear such a drastic increase in the number of players coming to such things and that the attitude in general is much better, I think that is more noteworthy than who has or has not been coming to all the voluntary workouts.
