Kevin Jones...I picked him thinking he might be a sleeper, dunno Mcallister or C. Brown...which should I start? Drew Henson...gamble pick to see if he starts sooner then later, I just might drop him anyways...what should I replace him with judging from my roster? |

I'd give it an A-. Solid all around, but Vick is a huge question mark.
Easily, EASILY start McAllister over Chris Brown! That one is a no-brainer!

I would have went with a diffrent RB first. With Lewis' charges, he may not even be around for some of the season. Plus I dont see him having near as many yards this year. Teams will adjust.

Your team's only potential hole is Vick, other than that it's solid top to bottom
How many people in your league? 8? ...with all those great RBs... |

Definitely start Carr in week 1 over Vick. The Falcons will struggle for the first few weeks of the season. Also, I wouldn't worry too much about Lewis. They don't have trial proceedings on Sundays and his lawyers are going to pull every trick in the book to get delays.

Shoot man, I think that's a pretty solid draft. You won't have to worry about Jamal 'til Nov and I think he's the cream of the crop in RB's. Vick is a definite question mark. Deuce is Deuce and will have a big year - they go to him so often, he can't help but put up numbers. C. Brown will be a solid back this year; he's looked good thus far and I think he a very solid #2 or #3 back. And you have Kevin Jones (I have him in my league too) who should be solid. Your receivers don't seem to be anything too special but they should get the job done with the rest of the lineup you have.

I would say a "B" on the RB's alone. (Strong and Deep)
WR are not strong, plus with Price, if Vick has a bad year or goes down, his numbers will be down also. Also having Rogers and Williams on your team, if Detroit does gel real fast, and struggle on O, that is two WR spots that won't produce many points.

texan279,
I'm not a FF expert so I wouldn't honestly know how to grade each of your teams, seems pretty solid from first glance. But I want to guess each league is more then an 8 team league? Also I thought about adding Anquin Boldin, but read he has an injury...might want to consider that. Last edited by Playmaker; 09-09-2004 at 11:13 AM. |

How many teams are in your guy's leagues? They look like all-star rosters compared to the the best ones in my leagues. McAllister and Jamal Lewis were both gone before the 2nd round in each of my 12-team leagues.
Heck I drafted 8th in one league and seven RB's were already gone (including Lewis and McAllister). I was pissed because I told myself if any of those seven fell to me I would draft them. I took Moss instead. |

My ff team scored a combined 32 points. I gotta reevaluate Dallas as my defensive team. Any thoughts on their longterm prognosis this year? |

They're not going to be as good as they were last year. It depends on what other defenses you have, but the Dallas offense will struggle at times and that means more time on the field for the Dallas defense. Tired defenses give up points.

Inspite of their week 1 performance, I like the New Orleans defense as a middle of the road one that may do something.

The only problem I have with New Orleans is their corners. They have a great DLine, and good quality LBs. I lucked out by picking Pittsburgh's defense. I also have Carolina, and despite how they played Monday night they should be a pretty good pick for me. Houston's D is on my bench right now, and I'll utilize them whenever one of the other team's have an off week or a particularly tough opponent.

Any thoughts on the Washington Redskins defense? Maybe Joe Gibbs and Gregg Williams can infuse some life into the defense.

They have a lot of talent, and they have a pretty good secondary and some good LBs. Their D-Line concerns me though. They could be an effective team to take off the bench when your first team defense has a bye or a really tough opponent.
