Ok, first one was Patrick Ramsey on the Colin Cowhert show this morning. In case you missed it, Colin posed the thought that the Cardinals will have the best turnaround from last year. Colin posed the same question to Patrick ramsey and asked him to exclude the Jets.
Without hesitation, Ramsey said the Texans and cited the Kubiak schemes and the additions of Moulds and Mario as the main reason. He specifically stated that while he doesn't see this team going deep into the playoffs, he think thatCarr will have a good year and that they will surprise many in the win/loss column regarding the turnaround from last year. Second is Seth Wickersham's blog from hanging around Texans camp... some interesting insights, it is a paid ESPN listing so I will recap: Kubiak and Richard Smith run gassers up and down the practice field after practice. Mario has bad toes, he has had to have them drained a few times so far. He was wearing bandages on his toes at a marketing event. Kubiak has inserted a play from the Elway-Mark Jackson days where Carr rolls out to the right and throws deep to the left to Andre who is running a deep corner route away from Carr. In humorous fashion, Kubiak claimed that he used to fake that he slips on that play when he had to throw the route at practice (i.e. couldn't make that throw). Sage Rosenfels fumbled the first two snaps after taking over for Carr. Kubiak stopped practice and made him get the snap right before continuing running plays.

Bad toes? What the hell does that mean?
Hopefully he just has an issue with ingrown toenails. I suffered from this quite a bit in my football days. Painful... but not a career threatening affliction. |

It's nice to see that some of the people outside of texas are noticing that we can be a really good team and we're no slouch like we were last year.

They'll HAVE to change their gameplan for our O. We don't have Dom Capers anymore! I think teams realize how experienced Kubiak is and that he brings the winning mentality form Denver to our team. Just that mentality alone can make you win a lot of games you shouldn't... |

It may not be an immediate change, more like the Bengals and Marvin Lewis changing things around.

The difference in our offense this year should be like light and dark from any of Caper's offenses in the past. That in itself will throw many a monkey wrench into opposing defenses preparations, but the additions to our defense will be the real difference in our won lost record, IMO.

Yeah you wont be able to have all 11 men on your defense 6 yards away from the LOS like you could last year.
