Time to give your impressions of that WMU product.
Heard he has struggled? True / False?

He has struggled but I feel that he has quick feet and hands and will be doing much better by mid-season. He has a nonstop motor and on Thurs. game I saw him always near the ball. Once he gets his bearings and the game slows down for him, he'll be fine.

He's definitely a work in progress but that was to be expected right? He's STILL a rookie and it takes time to adjust to the NFL.
I do think his tattoos are about the ugliest things I've ever seen though. Yuck. I can't imagine what would possess somebody to do that to themself. |

Prolly got them to scare the other players,,, ya know mental intimidation,,, (kinda scares me). Na but i think Babin will come around soon enough and i see him play with a lot of intensity which is always a start to beign a great football player !

Babin is the illustrated man of the NFL. He looks at home on the football field even if his successes so far have been limited. He has terrific upside and will keep climbing, keep striving & keep sacking QB's. I was shocked as many others when the Texans made the big trade to move up in the draft. Looks like they got what they wanted and everything is gonna be just fine, thank you very much for asking.

I think he'll have his share of rookie mistakes, but he seems to be progressing pretty good thus far. You can definately tell he is one of those players that have good instincts, but he's still getting used to the speed of the game. I think he'll be great in passing situations when they bring him and Peek down to the line as DE, and move Smith and Walker inside. Still a little shaky in coverage, but I think he'll adjust by mid season. Keep an eye out for Charlie Anderson too. He's the DE out of Ole Miss that we drafted to play OLB too. He seems to be adjusting pretty well too, and could be a force on special teams.

Those tats make quite a fashion statement for sure. He seems to be unique, and looks determined to meet his goals and I'm betting he does.
I don't see him as struggling; I see him as a learning machine. He'll be just fine IMO. |

So far his game is a bit like Green Bay-ex Bryce Paup's game. He is good in pursuit and chasing the play on the backside and holds the point of contact up very well. He was dynamite in the goal line stand last night collapsing the line. I think most people are myopic when it comes to sacks. That is about the only thing they look at, so yeah you will hear he struggled. To me he has looked very good. I have seen guys like Charley Clemons and Keith Mitchell on the edge here and I can see what good and poor OLB play looks like in our scheme, and while he has a lot to learn he hasn't disappointed me.
People want microwave results in a microwave society. It will take him two to three years to shine fully. |

After all the time it took to put those ones he has on now I wouldn't doubt it. I imagine it would take several hours to outline and color all that area in. That's a lot of time under the needle even if its in multiple visits.

Yea there was some guy on "Entertainment Tonight" a week or so ago that has paid over $200 thousand to turn his face into a tiger's. He is such a freak. He's had his face tattooed orange, had whiskers somehow implanted on his face and had his teeth chiseled.
There's nothing wrong with what Jason had; I don't like the look but it's not weird you know what I mean? My only problem and concern is that when he gets old and wrinkly that is going to look really bad. |

Well hopefully the fact that we got Payne, Walker, and Smith on the line now will help him a little. The 3 guys take up a lotta room payne looks like a human bull dozer out there. So maybe with them starting also it should help him ! But it'll still be a WHILE before we can call babin a dominant pass rusher.

Babin should be just fine. He just needs a year or two to develop and learn the new position. I think a lot of people thought he would come in and make a huge impact right away because of where he was drafted. But some people forget, he switched from DE to LB, so he is adjusting to that, and also adjusting to the NFL. Just give him a little time, like Carr needed, and he should be fine.

was at an angle into the interior of the line. That's the kind of big time play I've been looking for in this guy. So he's still got a ways to go before he's at the comfort level playing upright as a LB compared to being down in the 3 or 4 point stance like he was in college. |
