I just got the NFL.Com Newsletter-Houston Texans Edition in my e-mail. I was pretty surprised to see this in the first line...

''The Texans newly installed 3-4 defense got punished by the Steelers in their second preseason game''.

For some strange reason, I was under the impression that the TExans were running the 3-4 for the last two seasons.

Maybe they got confused just because it looked like it was newly installed against the Steelers.

For more insightful commentary about the Texans you should check out Chris Carter's take on the AFC South. They have Babin listed as a DE, and he mentions that he must improve the rush of the D-Line.

If the offensive line struggles for much longer, Carr won't have a bright future. He has taken a real beating over the past two seasons. Capers and the Texans have made an effort to put together a group that can protect Carr better than it has in the past, which shouldn't be hard to do.

Bottom line:
The Texans have gotten better, but they have the misfortune of playing in one of the most competitive divisions in football. Coach Capers and the organization are moving in the right direction, and the team has the full support of the city of Houston. But they are not ready to move into the second or third position.

I was wondering when we acquired Domingo Davis. I sure hope he doesn't play running back because that spot is taken by Dominic Davis.

One positive: I just watched NFL Live on ESPN and when evaluating fantasy wide recievers, they picked Andre Johnson as the sleeper of the year. Sounds good to me

Hey there Texans since I live in Michigan and cant seem to get to much info on the Texans Im wondering how my DAWG Robaire Smith is doing. I thought I heard that he missed the 2 a days. Just wondering from Flint Michigan.
