Ragone now 4th string???

Okay, I realize there is no 4th string, but we signed FA QB Quinton Porter, and he says that he has been told he will be 3rd string in mini-camp. What is that all about? Where does that leave Ragone? Does the staff think that low of him?

"They told me I'm going to be the third quarterback in (minicamp) unless they sign someone else. I have to go in there and show my potential. It's an awesome situation."

Probably means that he is 3rd string behind Rosenfels and Ragone. The starters (David Carr) don't really show up for the minicamp, do they?

As far as I know, all the players show up for mini-camp, except for rookie mini-camp.

I saw this guy play in the EV1.net bowl....not too impressed. I was however, impressed by the T's from Boise St.

So is he third in the rookie minicamp? I reeeeaaaaaallllllyyyyyyy want to see Ragone take snaps from Flannagan.

The article seems to indicate that Porter will be given the opportunity to compete for the 3rd string QB spot with Ragone. I doubt Ragone would lose his spot to Porter. So it looks to me as though Porter will just be another arm to use during trainingcamp and minicamp.
