New York Jets (Compensatory) - ILB Kai Parham, Virginia would have liked to secure a CB in there but one must fall to justify value with the players available on the board when the Texans pick. right now I don't see any better prospects than Manny Lawson falling to the Texans out of the 1st rd. in the 3rd rd. if Danieal Manning is there I would take him over Gerris Wilkinson. now to address the big trade that will likely never happen, this is a perfect scenero for the Texans. #1 the Jets must really be in love with Bush, which I think they are its just a question how much? #2 the Titans must take Leinart over Young, also Matt is a better fit for Chow's offense & ready to lead the Titans sooner than latter. #3 Kubiac must have VY rated higher than David Carr so that when VY is ready in a couple years he would assume the leadership role (w/Kubiacs mentoring) and the Texans could trade Carr for a 1st or 2nd rd. pick depending on his performance/other teams offers. is it possible the Texans could have three #1 picks next year? I like to think forward and begin thinking about the draft next year well thats it. I would like to also give credit to Danish Texan who's Mock I liked so much I used it as my base and of course MorKnolle (well I did not take Mario but did take another NC ST. DE in Manny Lawson)

What round do you think Rodrique Wright will go in ???
And if we had 29 and 33 I would like to see us try to move up even more to try and get vernon davis or A.j Hawk, or atleast one of the big four running backs |

its a big picture scenero. there are two schools: one- is build around what the Texans have now to become a winner as soon as possible or two- is build the foundation for a championship team well into the future. I'm not suggesting taking Vince Young with the 1st pick, I'm suggesting if the opportunity presents itself stockpile picks for the future as well improve the current talent of the team with the possiblity of a mega-star falling into our laps that can lead his hometown team to Super Bowl's. its down the road with possibly two addtional 1st rd picks for the Texans on top of their own 1st rd. picks to build a true championship team as Kubiac best sees fit

one of my beliefs is that the Texans still need to address mutliple needs, therefore multiple picks is a theme. OT Eric Winston & Manny Lawson is > than A.J. Hawk or Vernon Davis

You probably are right, but I just think it would be awesome to have such a strong defensive presence as Hawk on the field... That guy is a playmaker, and it is tru enough that our offense needs a guy like that, but our defense really doesn't have any game busters

Not to nitpick, but is this what you honestly think will happen or just throwing out another VY shoutout?
