This is not a mock draft. It is not an indicator of where a given player will be chosen. It is the order of preference I would have if I were running the Texans' War Room. Certain players were excluded entirely as inappropriate for the Texans to draft before pick #66 for one reason or another. Two players (AJ Hawk and Vernon Davis) have preference ratings that may indicate a salary burden I would not be willing to bear for that position at that pick.

I would give Moss Inexperience, before I have Addai inexperience. Me and you are on the same page with DeMeco Ryans. I think he will be that 2nd round Linebacker that takes the NFL by storm.

Looks pretty good except Vernon Davis. I think he is a tremendous athlete and will be good if in the right situation....but if David Carr is going to be the reason we won't touch any other QB in the draft....Jeb Putzier should be a legitimate reason we wouldn't touch Davis. I mean we just signed Putzier and he is a guy Kubiak brought in.

After further review of this man's record with the draft....i'm recanting my above post....well somewhat. LOL. GL Sarg.

I don't disagree with your point. Vernon Davis is more explosive than D'Brick in my mind (and more consistent than Mario at 3), however, D'Brick is a bigger need. Thus D'Brick 4 and Davis 5. I didn't blot TE out like QB since you can run 2-TE sets and since Davis is athletic enough to play a little H-back or WR (much like Reggie Bush).

Very true. Didn't think about the offensive capabilities really with the 2 TE set....even better to see him running around in the slot in the red zone.

I'm pretty happy with how things turned out, after some slight initial disappointment. I thought Charles Spencer was a little large to be a good zone-blocker, but I'll take Kubiak and Sherman's call over my own on that.
