No, the sky is not falling. If you think it is please don't touch your keyboard for the next several weeks. The Texans are not going to show much of their playbook during the preseason. They haven't done so their first two seasons and there is no reason to think they suddenly want to put an emphasis on winning preseason games this year.
Wait until the regular season to start complaining on the local message boards. However, if you are contemplating suicide do the rest of us a favor and get it over with quickly and quietly. |

u have an excuse for everything, texans didnt show their playbooks, the steelers didnt show theirs either and we were down 14-3 with our starters. they are rookies, yeah their rookies for the whole year shut up with that. theyve been going up against big league talent through various camps. its not like dunta hasnt been going up against aj. theres a reason they have coaches, its to prepare the rookies. last week it was babin wasnt slow and lost, chicken littles are just crazy. game 2 over, still agree? its ok for hollings to fumble because he hasnt played much at rb,.........., if you dont like our postings shut your piehole and go to the astros board and convince people how they arent out of the race yet.

As good as they looked against the Cowgirls they looked equally bad against the Steelers. The defense was outmatched by far. That just goes to show that as mujch progress as the Texans have made they still have plenty of growing to do. Hence the eight and eight prediction. If the Texans go eight and eight it will have been a successful season. Anything else will be a dissappointment. However to think they will be a playoff team this year is just wishful thinking. Stranger things have happened but as fans if we over hype the season and they don't live up to the hype its not a fun season for the fans or the team. realstic expectations will make the season more fun for everyone.

The rookies are playing well considering they are rookies. Robinson has played extremely well and Babin has 2 sacks after 2 halves of work. Sure, Babin has lots of room for improvement.....but he is just a rookie. You make a big deal of Robinson giving up a few receptions, but I think he did a tremendous job considering there was no pass rush and the officials were calling every little touch a penalty.
Last week I thought Hollings did a good job except for the fumbles, but I said that at least it was in the preseason when he would have time to correct his mistakes. Even though he was hit in the backfield a few times, he held on tight to the ball. That was a positive. The Texans played poorly against the Steelers. That is a fact. However, it was only a preseason game. I have faith that the players will correct various mistakes and will play better next time. More importantly, I think the Texans will play better once the regular season starts. They have a two year history of playing poorly in the preseason before coming out of the gates with a convincing victory in the season opener. I am more concerned with how the Texans play against San Diego and if they can follow that hopeful win with another against Detroit. The end of the world is not around the corner. The sky is not falling. Put down the Kool-Aid and stop running around like a Chicken Little. |

A point of clarification.
I am not saying that people shouldn't make posts about concerns they have with the Texans. The whole point of bulletin boards is to have people discuss their differences of opinions. And anyone who has eyes could tell that the Texans have some things to work on after their game with the Steelers. However, some people need to calm down a bit before they post. |

You want to make your point then as Jim Rome say's "have a take & don't suck". That is basicly what Born is saying. Back up your arguement with facts & research so you'll be more effective. Also as hard as it seems at times try to find some positives even when things don't go well. If you feel the need to vent thats fine, just try to have your solution ready.

Please don't say you just compared me to Jim Rome. eek:
I loved it when Jim Everett went over the table to pound on Rome. Too bad he didn't knock much sense into the guy. |

Yeah. At least that's what Rome called him to his face.
At times, when Everett wasn't across the table, Rome would call him Chrissie on his radio or television show. |

Both arguments are valid. Eveyone needs to stop being so emotional.

I guess you didn't like the movie version of M*A*S*H.
To each his own. Funny how the theme song of the longest running comedy series was "Suicide is Painless". Oh how I long for the death of political correctness. |
