brandon marshall from UCF needs to be considered but receivers you've named i'd go with either haas or orr

I think Colston is pretty good. Big, good hands, pretty fast, he sounds good.

I won't mind Marshall, gives Carr another bid receiver to find. So with Johnson, Walters, and Marshall, he should have no problem find his receivers down field.

Speaking of Irish Bias, there is this TE named Fasano .......could we use a tight end or has Putz put this on the back burner.

Maurice Stovall drops to many passes, we don't need another Corey Bradford. I like Haas and Avant both have good hands AND will catch the ball over the middle.

From your list Travis Wilson or Colston, or Brandon Marshall. Demetrius Williams is another nice option but could go higher since he's from a bigger school and has gotten more publicity. Here's my list of WRs to look at from the 3rd round on (I'm assuming Jackson and Holmes will be gone in the 1st, Moss in the late 1st or early 2nd, and Stovall in the mid-late 2nd and Derek Hagan maybe in the 2nd, but I have doubts about his hands so I'm not really interested in him anyways):

Devin Aromashodu (Auburn) 6' 2.5", 201 lbs. 4.35 40 at the Combine - not a huge fan of his and I think his hands are questionable - an option at #65/66.
Miles Austin (Monmouth) 6' 2", 215 lbs. 4.47 40 at the Combine - don't know much about him but has intriguing combination of measurables - worth a look at #129.
Jason Avant (Michigan) 6' 0.5", 212 lbs. - ran a 4.80 40 at his pro day which scares me away but he's supposed to work out again soon - jury's out on him.
Hank Baskett (New Mexico) 6' 2.5", 224 lbs. 4.49 40 at the Combine - also not a huge fan of his (see reasons on Aromashodu) - an option at #65/66.
Marques Colston (Hofstra) 6' 4.5", 224 lbs. 4.50 40 at the Combine - don't know much about his game either and from small school - worth a look at #97 or 129.
Brandon Marshall (Central Florida) 6' 4.4", 229 lbs. 4.52 40 at Combine - had a nice workout and seems pretty good - worth a look at #97, especially #129.
Anthony Mix (Auburn) 6' 4", 235 lbs. 4.47 40 at Combine - looks like a WR/TE tweener but had a decent workout - possibility at #65/66, more like #97.
Martin Nance (Miami OH) 6' 4", 213 lbs. 4.55 40 at Combine - had a pretty good workout, a little slower than I predicted - decent option at #65/66 but prefer #97.
Ben Obomanu (Auburn) 6' 1", 205 lbs. 4.45 40 at Combine - had a decent workout, not sure on his skills - worth a look at #97 or #129.
Jonathan Orr (Wisconsin) 6' 2", 198 lbs. 4.41 40 at Combine - not sure on his skills but looks like he had a decent workout - worth a look at #97 or lower.
Willie Reid (Florida St.) 5' 10.5", 188 lbs. 4.34 40 at Combine - decent player and is quite fast but fairly small - worth a look at #97 or lower if you want a speedster.
*Maurice Stovall (Notre Dame) 6' 4.5", 217 lbs. 4.57 40 at Combine - will likely be gone by #65, would be worth a look if he falls that far.
Todd Watkins (BYU) 6' 2.5", 202 lbs. 4.40 40 at Combine - not sure on his skills but had nice measurables - worth a look at #97 or lower.
Jeff Webb (San Diego St.) 6' 2", 211 lbs. 4.40 40 at Combine - also not sure on skills but nice measurables - worth a look at #97 or lower.

Travis Wilson (Oklahoma) 6' 2", 214 lbs. 4.47 40 at Combine - reminds me of a bigger, faster Gaffney - maybe worth a look at #65/66, definitely at #97.

Brandon Marshall is very intriguing to me. The kid looks good on tape, and looks better than is measurables would imply. He is one of those guys that plays faster and measures out better on the field rather than in shorts. Think of Anquan Boldin and this guy is very similar.

Poor comparison...

Bradford was supposed to be our deep threat speed reciever.

Speed is not Stovalls strong point, more of an across the middle possession receiver. He will make the tough catch, but not great as a YAC receiver.
He is very young and has a lot of upside.

He has dropped some balls, but so has AJ.

Guess AJ is another Bradford?..

Im not sayiong that im just saying that Stovall and Hagan both are highly regarded but have the dropsies. i think the texans need a reciever that can go across the middle and catch the ball. We have speed recievers in mathis and AJ, we need a McCaffrey type reciever. I actually believe we got that reciever with our 7th round pick. P.S. not tryin' to hate on the irish!
