Default DeAngelo Williams over Bush

Here is a thought...take DeAngelo Williams at No. 1, or trade down to take him. He looks like the next Shaun Alexander IMO. Bush is quick and all but Williams is a 20 carry a game guy.

Here is a blurb for those who dont know. Heisman Trophy candidate who led the nation in 2004 with 22 rushing touchdowns...Opted to return to Memphis for his senior season, and has been projected as a top five draft pick in 2006 by Mel Kiper and CBSSportsline.com...Opened the 2005 season as the NCAA's active career running back in rushing touchdowns, rushing yards, yards per carry and all-purpose yards...Also entered 2005 as the leading returning rusher in the nation in total rushing yards, having amassed 1,948 yards in 2004.

Ended his senior campaign ranked No. 1 nationally in rushing with an average of 178.55 yards per game...Led the nation in rushing yards with 1,964, after totaling 238 yards in the Motor City Bowl...Williams also ended the season ranked fourth in all-purpose yards and seventh in scoring.

With his 123 yards rushing and 29 yards receiving against USM, DeAngelo Williams became the NCAA career leader in all-purpose yards. Through 44 career games, he totaled 7,573 career all-purpose yards, surpassing Ricky Williams who previously held the NCAA record with 7,206 yards for Texas from 1995-98.

More yards than Ricky, It should be Reggie who.
Any thoughts?

Not me. Mr. Williams will be a stud at RB. I think allot of GM's are sitting on there hands hoping he will fall in there lap. This kid will be a pro-bowler barring injury...

I like him. But I prefer Reggie & LenDale White to him. I also Like Joseph Addai. I think Addai could be a steal to someone like the Colts.

yea, addai is a guy who i really like

he has nfl size(6'0" 215 lbs), good power, can run inside or outside, good speed(4.4), he can catch the ball out of the backfield, and he can pick up the blitz better than any tailback in the draft.

I like both D'Angelo, and Addai..... if I were a team looking for a RB, that's where I'd be looking.....

Reggie Bush, Yeah, if he lives up to the hype, I'd like to have him. But I wouldn't trade up to get him, if you've got guys like Addai, Lendale, and D'angelo who'll hang on the boards....

You don't take DeAngelo at No 1. I know DeAngelo and have covered him since he played at Wynne HS. He hurt his stock some this year when he chose not to play against Tennessee. He was hurt, but even his coach called him out in the Memphis Commercial Appeal. With that said. I think DeAngelo will be a very good pro, but two things, you don't take him No. 1 and you don't take him ahead of Reggie. IF the Texans chose not to take Reggie, they should probably take D'Brickashaw Ferguson or maybe Mario Williams.

I like DeAngelo Williams a lot, personally he's my 2nd favorite RB in this draft, but in many circles he's fallen down to the #4 RB in this draft behind Maroney and LenDale.
