Here's a thought. Why not push back the Draft combine and eliminate all the stupid Pro days. This allows players to have more time to prep, and is the only chance other than private team workouts to show there stuff.
I don't know about everyone else but I am tired of hearing fast track/slow track, he isn't going to do this throw or that throw. The combine is your job interview. Everyone should compete at it. That way every player is evaluated against each other in the same environment. Who decides the dates of the Pro Days, USC's is late, more time to lift, train, etc. Unfair advantage? Who thought up the Pro Day anyway. Probably a guy who didn't do well at the combine, complained to his old college coach and that is how it all began. Any thoughts. |

I think that the elite guys will still want to dictate terms (date, location, ..) of their workouts ....

This isn't some physical fitness test. It's just a way for the scouts to get close to the players and acknowledge what they see on film as it translates to a workout. The teams mainly go by what they see on film.
