Adam Schefter, of NFL.com, reports there is speculation the New York Jets have traded DE John Abraham to the Seattle Seahawks for the 31st selection in the upcoming NFL Draft.

The deal would be contingent on the Seahawks being able to sign him to a long-term deal.

John Clayton, of ESPN.com, reports the Seattle Seahawks have offered their first-round pick (No. 31 overall) to the New York Jets for DE John Abraham.

I heard that Abraham wants to goto Falcons, he has already agreed to a contract with them. Now the Falcons and the Jets have to agree on compensation. Also Abraham makes his offseason home in South Carolina. It could still go Seahawks way.

I saw an article saying the Falcons had agreed to contract terms with him but haven't come up with a satisfactory trade with the Jets, while the Seahawks have come up with a satisfactory trade but haven't reached contract terms with him yet, so likely whoever can solve the whole problem first will get him.
