Default What is available for @2million?

Ok, it seems we saved $2million on McKinney's new deal. What are reasonable F/a that we can get for our buck that would help? Or do we hope the $2m is lumped with other money for a better pick up?

With 2 million we can bring in 2 or 3 decent players to help fix problems at DE, LB, and maybe another WR.

Or the Texans could use that money together with what they have and sign a big name guy. I don't see this happening though.

It saves us money on cutting Walker and possibly Wade and still we have money to go after one offensive starter and one defensive starter.

Jeb Putzier from the broncos would be a nice addition. He knows the system and had good hands.

Let's not forget the deal that was just made that frees up more cap space. That 2 million could be added to it to bring in additional players, and regardless of whether we take a Bush or trade down, we will need that money.

Is it reasonable to expect Bush, all other picks and pick up a starter on defense and offense to fit under cap? I have yet to see a estimate on how much Texans will be under the 2006 cap. The new CBA brings additional $7.5 m I understand. I think one of the following A) receiver B) tight end C) center and one of the following on defense A) DE B) middle linebacker C) corner as two quality starters in free agency would be excellent.

na it is more reasonable to trade down. IMO we have more draft picks can still get good talent and have money for FA.
