Default Who Was The Wide Reciever,

The one that looked so good in the east/west shrine game. Don't even recall which side he played for. I do remember he was the best receiver on either team.
The announcers remarked how much he had helped his stock as he was kinda under the radar at the time. Of course it could have been the once in a lifetime game for him. I know one of you learned posters have the answer for me. Just curious if he has shown up on any mocks or lists yet.

Oops...wrong forum, bet I get moved.

He was good size, speed, and had good hands. I am pretty sure he was the leading receiver of the game. Guess I will go hunt for stats from the game, if I can find them.

good size is a understatement, he is the tallest WR @ the combine. he does have great hands but I would question his speed. I would guess around 4.5-4.6 which for his size is still OK but nothing great. what I saw in the Shrine was his ability to adjust to the ball in the air & fight for the ball. I would seriously think of moving him into the slot or TE like Antonio Gates. It would be a risk to take him in the 3rd rd. does have excellent potential.

I think Mike Hass would be a great pick for the Texans in the 3rd. he is exactly the kind of target Carr needs, somehow he gets open and hangs on to the ball. for all those you ***** about the Texans not having a #2 WR he would fill the bill.

I though I had posted this info already but I guess I sent the post into cyberspace, I can't find it. So if it shows up later you will understand the double post. I wouldn't be disappointed if Charlie took a flyer on him around #4 or so.

Site seems to be out of date, no 2005 stats. Curious also what the injury was. Didn't seem to bother him in the shrine game though.

You also might be thinking of Brandon Marshell from Central Fla. He had a big game and was hoping to get an invite to the combine.

You might be right about that, the name does ring a bell. I get so frustrated that I can't recall things like that. Guess I will have to start carrying a note pad around. Thanks.

Marshall sounds very versatile:
UCF Site

Edit: Went back to the roster for the game....didn't see Marshalls name there.
There was a Brandon Williams but his contribution wasn't that great.

But you may have uncovered a sleeper in Marshall. Sounds like a Steeler draft choice.

Heard Colston just ran in the 4.4 range (4.43 I believe).
Great time for his size. I'm liking this guy more and more every day.
