Does this mean that we can spend whatever we want in the offseason? Also they said that if they can't come to an agreement that there won't be anymore drafts until they come to an agreement, whats that? What would happen to the college players?

2007 being uncapped isn't truly the MLB spending free-for-all it sounds like. The CBA still has some rules for the uncapped season(s) such as less players will be FA's (players must have been in the league longer to be UFA's and will be treated as RFA's so a cap is built in on their salaries) and the ability of some teams to sign FA's is limited (some kind of goofy top 10 teams can't sign FA's unless they lose a FA deal). Any player under contract is stuck. Basically it sounds like only guys who can be UFA's under the uncapped rules will benefit and the market will be reduced as well.

if there is a uncapped year in '07, most experts are predicting there will be a strike in '08, the sooner they can reach a agreement the better. Seeing how in '08 I really expect us to be a playoff caliber team, that would really suck if we had to endure all this losing only to have the best season of our franchise stolen from us.

Gene Upshaw the head of the NFLPA says if theres an uncapped season in 07 players might not wanna come back to a cap salary after that. I really hoped there isn't an uncapped season cause if teams all get to spend whatever then I think maybe I'll lose interest in the NFL which would suck...
