Scroll down to the bottom right section.
Nice to see us up close to the top. Note the number of votes cast.

Yeah, that's real good.
A QB that hasn't even taken an NFL snap is the overall leader. (that'll tell ya right there how knowledgeable the voters are) The same QB won the home state of our current QB.

Well Phillip Rivers is by far on the best team.
There is probably a better chance of the Chargers making the playoffs and Brees getting injured than the other teams making the play offs. I think this poll is giving some major respect the David Carr considering the Texans were 2-14 last year. Most of the Nation views Carr as a victim of a poor O-line. If you have seen our O-line pass protect it is hard to argue. |

Most people in California are loyal to a region of the state. IE SoCal or NorCal. (Fresno and Bakersfield are in no man's land.) In Southern California I see someone with a Fresno State shirt on or sticker on their car a few times a year. I see more way more Texas, Texas A&M or even get this...University of Houston(No BS) gear than Fresno State. |

In Idaho, David gets 31%, 26% to rivers, and 17% to Boller 33% to David, 28% to Rivers, and 23% to Boller in Montana Kyle boller gets Oklahoma, then Rivers, then Carr Harrington..... 54% in Michagand... imagine that. David has 40% of the votes in Vermont.... he wins Main, Conneticut, Wyoming, and Colorado.... I wonder how the electorate would work out.

I disagree. Fresno State is the thrid best program in California behind USC and Cal. I live in Orange County and I can't tell you how many stickers and merchadise I see from Fresno State. They have gained the respect of the entire state, not to mention all USC fans. David put FSU on the map, even more than Dilfer did when he beat USC in the 1992 bowl. I'm a Fresno native living in So Cal...I see FSU gear everywhere.

We are talking about "Programs". Not being a single year but overall as a football producing school, I go with these FOUR over Fresno State any day. USC, UCLA, Cal, and Stanford. I got Fresno State and San Diego State neck and neck. Not based on this year but as program as a whole. |

Good to see Carr getting some respect. Not far behind Rivers...

Yes I was talking about football programs. I am not just talking about the results of the last few years either. I am talking about the "Football Program", history and all. Stanford has had about 215 pro football players drafted. Fresno State has had about 85 pro football players drafted. (even San Diego State produced almost 150 pro draft pics) Stanford has produced some quality guys THREE first overall picks at QB John Elway, Jim Plunkett, & Bobby Garret. John Lynch James Lofton just to name a few. Stanford also produce a lot of quality lineman too. I understand your loyalty, you live in the area (maybe go to the school), fine. Fresno State has a good football progam that is getting better every year. PS - I am all for David Carr and glad we picked him. I was rooting for Fresno State to beat USC. I don't think the Texans should even think of drafting a QB, because Carr is our guy. (LOL just want you to know I don't fall into the VY camp and trying to dog all things Fresno State.) If I was ranking how good the teams were last year. I would probably go with your order, maybe swaping San Diego State & Stanford. |

Fresno State looked good this year. They were a few points from making several of my friends cry. LOL that would have been great to see. As a UT guy I understand how annoying the Horns fans must be to the people in Houston area. How do I know? I have had to live with USC fans for the last few years. It gets tiresome after a while. Nice to have a change at the top this year. Especially nice that it was Texas over USC. |
