The Houston Texans select with the #1 overall pick...
![]() Reggie Bush, from the University of Southern California With no decent trade offers, and the Texans commited to David Carr, they opt for a shot of instant offense. The most explosive player in college football over the last 2 years, Bush will give the opposing DC's nightmares. Lets hope he becomes the NFL star, that most of us think he will.

With the 2nd pick of the 2006 NFL Draft, the New Orleans Saints select...
![]() Matt Leinart, Quarterback, University of Southern California Wanting a Pro-style QB, instead of developing another scrambler, the Saints go with Leinart over Young. Tennessee Titans are now on the clock....

the titians select vince young qb from the university of texas.
with most of the staff wanting to select a lt tackle to replace hopkins. bud adams steps in and forces the team to go with young. hoping to stick it to his old fans back home one last time. after the draft bud kept mumbleing something about "twice a year". |

Decided on Hawk because he is an impact player worthy of this pick. Reading on 49ers' MB, they said their needs were playmakers, depth on OL, pass rushers,LB ( everyone is a FA ) ,FS. Sounds like Texans,eh

The Atlanta Falcons Select
Michael Huff, University of Texas With safety being the primary area of need, the falcons decide to move up and grab the highest rated player in that area. Huff will join Deangelo Hall in one of the premiere secondaries in the league.

The Buffalo Bills select Haloti Ngata, 6'5" 335 lb. DT from Oregon.
Coach Jauron has always done best with a big bad DT squishing the run. More importantly, our defense dropped from 2nd to 29th in one year after losing Pat Williams to Free Agency. Sam Adams just isn't getting it done. Last edited by Sarg01; 02-15-2006 at 11:36 AM. |

With the 9th pick the Jets select RB Deangelo Williams, 5'10" 217 pounds, Memphis.
Curtis Martin is getting older, and the Jets RB problem is just as glaring as QB or LT. The draft is deep with tackle's and lets not count Chad Pennington out yet. The Jets didn't get Bush, but still trade down, pick up a 2nd rounder and still get a premier RB.

With the 10th pick, the Arizona Cardinal select offensive guard, Max Jean-Gilles, SR, 6-4, 340, Georgia.
The recent signing of Kurt Warner to longer contract than anticipated negated the option of drafting QB standout, Jay Cutler. The offensive was very suspect in the run last year finishing at the bottom half of the league in rushing. Gilles brings an immediate upgrade to the line to allow Arrington to take over the starting spot. |

There has been a trade between the wags Rams and the TEXANS84 Vikings:
Rams get: Vikings 1st rounder (17th overall) and 2nd rounder (48th overall) Vikings get: Rams 1st rounder (11th overall) and 3rd rounder (77th overall)

Vikins select:
RB LenDale White, USC With no runningback to help the offense, the Vikings need a "bruiser" style runningback to control the clock with. |

With the 12th overall selection in the 2006 houstontexans.com mock draft, the Cleveland Browns select:
![]() LB Chad Greenway out of Iowa The browns LB corps is pathetic. Besides Andra Davis there isn't a single LB on their team who even close to being a star of the defense until now. Greenway has great size (6'4" 239lbs), moves very well and is a great tackler. He has also proven to be a leader, which is what the brown's defense has been lacking.

The fins roll the dice that this kid is 100% again and select
CB from FSU - Antonio Cromartie He's got that rare ombo of speed and size. Toss in the fact that when he gets the ball, kid can make plays. Only concern is the injury, but if Willis can come back I feel Antonio will do just fine. And DAMN the Raiders

The Rams select Ko Simpson. He will be an immediate starter at FS and will improve a pretty bad defense. He excels in coverage and is a solid tackler. This guy will be the next Ed Reed in the NFL... at least the Rams hope so.
