Default DE on first day?

Although I am a proponent of trade down, Texans seem to be picking Bush. As we have four pretty good DTs for 4-3, can we clog up the middle with 4 dts and allow Peek & Babin to rotate from OLB to rush the QB? I like an occasion blitz from Dunte also. Can we do with out an impact DE?

2006 draft:1. Bush 2. Best OT 3a. Best corner 3b.Best DE 4.Best w/r 5.fb
2007 :1. Best DE 2. Best mlb 3.Best safety

Starting those four up front would make it pretty tough to run anywhere in between the tackles on us, but teams could probably run outside on us pretty easily and we would not get much of a pass rush at all. Peek and Babin will come down as DEs, which will leave us with an overload at DT, so we will have to make some cuts there. Hopefully we can get a better pass rushing DE in free agency or the draft, if not we'll have to see what Peek and Babin can do.

Your thinking real long term, and I personall think we'll trade down so I realize my position by round is different, but I agree with DE in round 2, 3, or 4. Considering this, I have a DE in mind who could fall anywhere in between round 2 -4 depending on how well they perform at the combine.

STANLEY McCLOVER, AUBURN
Ended the 2005 season with 13.5 TFLs, 8 sacks, 4 QB hurries, and 3 PBUs (lead Auburn in sacks and TFL). Has good size at 6'3" 260 and is an amazing pass rusher. He has a huge bag of tricks and finds any way possible to get to the QB. He also has the speed and agility to be an LB, but has the size of a DE. Many question his size, but he hits with a force and is good at getting low. The few questions people have about him are mainly his size, his inexperience (left a year early), and his ability against the run (but I feel that his 13.5 TFLs is a good inicator that he's better than expected). Overall however, he's my vote for steal of the draft at DE and will go round 2 or 3.

My thought was the outside linebackers would contain and force to the sideline. Would that work?
