I think there are some parrallels between the 2001 draft invoving LT/Vick, and this year's situation involving VY and RB.
I was wondering what everyone thought about that draft. I mean, at this moment who would you rather have, Vick or Ladanian? who makes his team better and gives them the better chance to win? Did the Falcons make the right decision to trade up for Vick? Did the Chargers make the right move trading down? Or did they both make the right move for their teams at that time? Really, the other questions are valid and have some merit for discussion, but my bottom line question is this: Who would you rather have, a Vick or an LT?

no doubt i'd take LT
lets face it, michael vick has horrible accuracy. he has a great arm, but his accuracy is terrible. i mean he is still a great player because of his athleticism and energy, and i would love to have him, but LT is arguably the best ALL-AROUND running back in the game. he is good in every aspect in the game. he can run with power, run with speed, he can catch, block, everything. vick is not as complete of a player as LT is. |

There was a reason why Atlanta would not have been able to sit at #4 and take Vick just as there was a reason San Diego was able to drop to #4 and still take Tomlinson.
Who has done better: San Diego with Tomlinson and Brees or Atlanta with Vick and Dunn/Duckett? I'll take Vick. |

Who did San Diego pick up with the extra draft picks that were traded for Vick? does anyone know?
Was LT as hyped then as Reggie Bush is now, and are Lienart or Young as hyped now as Vick was back then??? |

02' - RD2 48th pick San Diego Reche Caldwell WR Florida Not even close, LT was highly regarded but remember he came from lowly TCU where he lit it up in college. Vick came with pretty much hype, close to Lienart and Young. As a sophmore he took VT to the Sugar and a top 5 ranking. Vick had more skeptics than Young. |

I think Vick means more to his team, because SanDiego was ablet obeat Indy without LT, but I think LT is the better player.
