And trade David Carr to the Dolphins for Ricky Williams and pick #16!!!! so we got an outstanding backup for DD and we can use the pick to get an OL-men!!!

a friend if mine told me about a trade from a creditable source (someone in the know) that would blow that one out of the water. i can't really tell you guys because i told him i wouldn't but we'll just say it would make everyone but the trade down guys happy.

Man the trade Carr/Vince Young manlove threads are getting old. Why would we sign him to the extension, trade him for another player, then take the cap hit when we could just let him become an UFA by not signing him to the extension? And I seriously doubt we would get a mid first round pick and Williams for Carr. And if our front office wanted Ricky Williams that bad, we could probably trade a PBuch type player straight up for Williams or a 3rd or 4th round pick for him.

i said i wouldn't tell so i will say it involves a qb who has pro bowl wr that is very unhappy with him. i will say that i question if it would work, but he has been right in the past so i guess i have to believe him.

it's david carr, apparently andre is upset with how david runs the offense and it might force a trade.

Its interesting how Carolina dumps off to Steve Smith and then goes long . We forgot the go long part with AJ .

AJ is the best player we have. Watching him after he came back from injury - you could see the pain on his face. If we traded Carr, I would be for adding Ricky (a Ricky/DD tandem could be interesting) and drafting a qb (although I might prefer Leinert over VY). I would prefer to give up players rather than picks (Buchy, Babin and sending Wade back comes to mind). As far as deals for Carr, there should be a lot of decent offers because there are some QB desperate teams out there (and only a few decent QBs in play - - SD has said they will keep Rivers one more year; Minn may deal Culpepper so Oakland is a possible landing spot; Collins?; then Kitna? - that's not much). We should be able to at least get a high 2nd and maybe a player. Carr to: NYJ for their 2nd and Abraham NO for their 2nd and ? (then they take Bush) Oak for their 2nd and a 3rd next year Detroit for their 2nd and ? AZ for their 2nd and WR Bryant Johnson Chicago along with #66 for their 1st Baltimore/Miami for their 2nd and a 2nd next year. |

I have a decent number of sources within the team and I've never heard anything about Andre being upset with Carr in the offense so I'm not sure how reliable your source is on that, I've heard about players being unhappy with the coaching and playcalling, but that will hopefully be fixed this year.

Ricky is on the tail end of the prime of his career. A power back like him has a short career to begin with. I definitely would like to go in another direction. I happen to be a fan of Morency. I think we could trade DD if we draft Bush. Morency could be the other back that gets carries along with Bush.
