Okay, maybe our Houston Texans didnt perform up to their expectations this year, however, I am a very optimistic fan as you know, and see a bright future ahead, starting next year.
Gary Kubiak will be named our next head coach. Thats a major plus. He's a Houston native, he wanted a second chance to interview for the head coaching job when he didnt get it in 2001, he's played QB, and he's coached them as well as the entire offense. He's been succesful at that as well. David Carr can greatly benefit from this, and really explode into a great quaterback. If we draft, Mr. Reggie Bush in the draft, which we shoul as it's the better choice, we can also have a fairly good run game next year with him and Davis, taking the pressure of Carr some. Defensively, a new coordinator will obviously be brought in, a plus. Also, with young talent such as Dunta Robinson, Jason Babin and Travis Johnson on our side, improvement can be made in this area. Yes, next year is still a long way off, but its never to early to start getting excited about it. Go Texans!

Shoot - I think the change in coaching staff alone makes us around .500, unless something unexpectedly negative happens when Kubiak fills out the staff. I don't think McNair will make the same mistake twice though.

Hell Ya I am excited, if I wasn't what the hell would I be doing on a message board three weeks after a 2 and 14 season. Go Texans! Next year toward mediocrity, 2007 playoff push.

Looking forward to our first QB controversy. Definitely won't be boring.
