With Kubiak as our new coach, and saying that we will have a successful offseason and draft, how many wins will the texans have next season?

Being the realist that I am, I can only hope for a 6-10 season.
Anything better than that would be peaches and cream. |

B.) Another double-digit loss season with a team in its fifth year can no longer be seen as progress. C.) I wouldn't characterize 6-10 as "a return to respectability." |

Bobo, do you promise to give your season tickets up if we win with Kubiak, too?

It's too early to tell I will come back and make a prediction after we hire a new coach and the draft.

I can't argue that the team won't struggle. We'll have to see after draft day (hopefully Cass won't have too much to do w/ it and we'll get great players). I expect to struggle at least for a while. You don't really expect a 2-14 team to go 12-4 the next season. With that being said, ANYONE would be better than Capers....and I actually think Kubiak is going to help tremendously. I say 6-10 next season. Can't you see? The only reason you liked the way the Texans played for the first three years under Capers is b/c they had heart and were competitive. Why were they competitive? B/c they had great veteran leadership which were also great players. Once most of them were let go in the offseason (i.e. Glenn, Sharper, etc.) and then the team needed a leader, you would normally look to the coaching staff. Obviously, they didn't do a great job. Capers did the same thing in Carolina. The team did great at first and went to the playoffs in their second season....but they had MANY veteran leaders. Once the veterans retired or left, the team bombed and Capers was fired. Looks like deja-vu to me. Capers Stinks!! Kubiak will definitely be an upgrade. How much of an upgrade remains to be seen since he has never been a HC before. V.Lomardi didn't either. I remain optimistic. |

7 - 9 wins if we have Kubiak, Carr, Bush, Johnson, and Davis and the 4/3 defense!

I think it's possible that Reeves, McNair and Kubiak will have input. Let's hope Kubiak is better at evaluating talent than Capers and Co.

By the way, one of the REAL strong poit of Kubiak is supposed to be talent evaluation.

At this point in time, I can only see this being a
poll. Too many variables out there to make an informed and educated answer. Too many changes coming down the pike this off season, some we have not even thought of yet. Try again after training camp.

Kubiak is going to do wonders for our currently improperly used offensive talent. You can say a lot of things about the Texans under Capers, but exciting is not one of them. The team had become stale and stagnant. Kubiak is one of the best offensive minds in the business and learned from a great coach. I hope you do not renew your season tickets so some of the real fans on the waiting list can cheer on their team. |
