i like number 2, but i wouldn't mind squeezing that 4th rounder they got from chiefs for signing HC Herman Edwards. if we were to trade down, i would want at least one day one pick back along with swapping number 1's. not sure if ryans is there in the 2nd, but i like your thinking.

That does make alot of sense now that the Jets have an extra 4th they can offer us. I think the Jets are the prime team to trade with us.

I think we can get more out of the Jets, probably their first pick in the 4th this year, next year's 1st and 3rd, and John Abraham in addition to switching the #1 and #4 this year.

I personally think it sounded like they'd be open to trading him, and it sounds like he is definitely willing to leave, maybe even more so now that Herm Edwards is gone. Plus, the Jets are going to be over the salary cap without resigning any of their free agents so they are going to have to let some of them go, and rebuild their team somewhat, so a transition tag on Abraham or a sign-and-trade could be an option they'd be willing to take in order to land their pick of Bush or Leinart/Young (they could take a QB if they decide Pennington isn't going to be healthy enough to be their man).

I like 2, it helps fix most of the problems the team has with impact players.
