obviously alot of the hardcore aggies and the sooners are going to want bush and not young. the longhorns will want young over bush. how about vince as qb and kubiak & stoops as co-head coaches? all kidding aside, the rivalries are going to be the source for plenty of rhetoric in the smacktalk about who to take.

Please. Real fans of the City of Houston and its franchises know the opportunity of a lifetime. There will be other Reggie Bushes. Plenty. There's only one Vince Young. When you see what he does in the NFL you'll know what I'm talking about. He will change the game. Bush will not.

Hey now, I'm a die hard Aggie and I want Vince. I also like Carr but he'd be better off somewhere else right now where he wont get destroyed just about everyplay. Vince would bring in the excitment, the money and the fans from all over. Can you say prime time football people? But, thats just what I think.

I am a sooner fan and a loyal Houstonian. I don't want either one of these guys. We trade and build. We focus on what we need
1)Coach
2)LT
3)RT
4) More speed on Defense



If we are smart we can basically control were most of these guys will end up.

It's funny 1 week ago this was the same thing alot of people around here were saying about Reggie Bush. ! game and Vince is now the savior and Reggie is the type of player that will be easy to find..

Trade them and build the offense.

Other Reggie Bush's? From what I understand no player, ever, in the history of NFL scouting has ever, been rated so high. Ever.

Not every single NFL scout for all 32 teams can be wrong, can they?

yes. Anyone can be wrong. The nfl is a crapshoot. There are no guarantees. Not only that, modern society has a tendency to sensationalize. Greatest prospect EVER. Greatest bowl game of the century. Lived up to the hype. The next gale sayers. Greatest of all time. The more hype they generate, the more people follow the coverage, the better the networks do.

That is such a load of B.S. man and the fact that you keep repeating it doesn't make it any more true. There will be plenty of "Latest-Greatest" runningbacks and there will be plenty of "Latest-Greatest" quarterbacks too. If this guy didn't have a Longhorn on his helmet a third of the people screaming for him wouldn't even be here. Another third would be willing to discuss the merits of all the possible options of the #1 pick (including trading down).

Vince isn't going to change anything. That's just crazy hype and is, if anything worse than what we had from the less intelligent Reggie Bush fans two or three weeks ago. There's always someone out there who's going to "change the game". They never do. The ones who change the game are almost never seen coming. They come out of nowhere and turn everything upside down. Vince Young is going to be another very good QB. Reggie Bush is going to be another very good RB.

im an Aggie and ive got nothing against UT football players. Id love to get Michael Huff personally.. but I dunno if id take him over some other prospects if we traded down.

Anyway.. College Football is College Football.. once they declare for the draft the only thin I care about is what they can do for my Texans... where they came from doesnt even enter the picture.

They said the same thing about Michael Vick. I haven't seen those guys win a Super Bowl yet, and defenses in the NFL quickly developed schemes to slow down his scrambling act. A QB that will run before passing is not what I desire for the Texans. I'm in the "Trade the pick" camp personally. We have alot of needs to fill, and one man will not turn this team around, unless we're talking a Head Coach!

surely could. Nobody but nobody is a lock. I've said i want vince young, but i also said i wouldnt mind trading down for dbrick....shrugs.maybe that makes me indecisive, but i recognize anybody has the potential to bottom out in the draft.
