former Texans Marlon McCree and Steve Foley have suceeded in other places since leaving Houston doesn't convince you that our biggest problem over the past couple years was our inept coaching staff (NOT the o-line, NOT David Carr), then I don't know what you're thinking. I can't help think that with a different coaching staff this team would have been at least 5 wins better this season.

Hey, I've been convinced that it was coaching all along. But Casserly isn't perfect with personnel, and Carr was McNair's draft choice just as much as Capers's and Casserly's.
It's sad to see players that we've let go excel elsewhere. And it's big evidence against Capers. But I worry that Carr has already been ruined by Capers, Pendry, and Palmer and he was the top pick in a weak draft. I even got my biggest detractor (who is sitting across from me right now) to admit that David Carr would be behind Bush, Leinart, and Young if they were all in the same draft. |
