He's the type of tight end that we need. I don't know how high is draft status is, but maybe we can use our 2nd round pick on him if he's available. I'm tired of waiting on Joppru.

The big ole USC guy is coming out too but I think Thomas can be like Witten on Dallas.

I would kill Casserly myself if he used the 33rd overall pick on David Thomas. Nothing against drafting the guy but not with the first pick in the 2nd round.

I've posted before that I think that Thomas' ability to run, block, catch, and punish the players in his path makes him a great TE. He won't go to the second round. If I was drafting, he would be on the Texans wishlist because of his abilities and because like you, I'm tired of waiting on Joppru.

For an example of Thomas, there were two great passes. One in which he slipped, jumped up, and then caught the ball. The other was him fighting off Trojans to get the first down. He's played like that all year. In interviews he has had a bit of swagger and some obvious confidence.

If Thomas looks like he's going to be drafted in later picks of the 2nd round, would you trade both 3rd round picks to move up about 15 spots to take him?
