Default TE John Frieser

Can anyone tell me how TE John Frieser is doing in camp? He is from Colgate.

He played HS football with my sons in Upstate NY.

What are his chances of making the team?

Thanks,

Actually at this point, his chances are pretty good considering one of the top 3 TEs on the team has injured his groin. That is all I know.

I would think that Frieser is a longshot to make the roster (5th on the depth chart), but has a decent chance at making the practice squad. It's early, though. Still plenty of time for Friesen to show what he's got. I thought he showed good hands (didn't let the ball get into his body) in receiving drills.

6 tight ends

Marc Bruener
Billy Miller
Jabari Holloway
Matt Murphy
John Frieser
Bennie Joppru

Either Murphy or Frieser will be #53 due to special teams

You seem to be assuming Joppru hits IR soon. Absent that Murphy and Frieser have an extremely low shot of making the team--odds are bad they carry more than 4 TE's.

If Joppru is healthy by the end of camp they may only carry 3 TE's.

Smile John Freiser status through 8/7/04?

How is is looking in the scrimmage versus Miami? Any update would be appreciated. I live about 30 miles from his college, Colgate and also know him and his family very well...
