I don't have insider.. I was just curious what this article said about P-Buch (and others) about how they are not being used correctly. Did anyone read this thing?

The article is dated Oct 14
Phillip Buchanon, Houston Texans Of all the mistakes the Texans made this past offseason, none has been bigger than the trade for Buchanon. Houston gave up its second- and third-round choices to acquire the disgruntled Raiders' corner, picks that could have been used on much needed offensive line help. Instead, the Texans now have a corner who has gone from starter to nickel back. It is hard to understand why Buchanon is not in the starting lineup. Is he a poor tackler? Yes. Does he freelance? Yes. Does he consistently get out of position and play with poor techniques? Yes. He did all these things in Oakland, so there really should be no surprise here. The Texans' defense has forced exactly zero turnovers in the first four games. Although Buchanon is by no means a disciplined player, he does have a knack for coming up with big plays. In his three seasons with the Raiders, Buchanon had 11 interceptions and four defensive touchdowns. He got beaten a lot in Oakland too, but for a team struggling on offense, Buchanon might be able to make a play that could put some points on the board. In Oakland, Buchanon was the No. 1 punt returner. Did he muff punts? Yes. Did he put the ball on the ground and make poor decisions? Yes. Did he return three punts for TDs in a three-year period? Yes. So why not use him more in that role to jump start a struggling offense? By no means am I saying Buchanon is a great player, but it's hard to fathom that a team this talent deficient can relegate one of its most athletic players to a part-time role. The Texans have scored exactly 44 points in their first four games. Their best offensive weapon might be a defensive player. |

Think about it like this we could have Khalif Bharnes and a Corner or pass rusher right now if we did not make the Buchanon trade. If I am not mistaken Bharnes is starting for J-ville at the RT spot.

You know , when i played ball in highschool there was always a couple guys that where afraid to tackle so back then the coach would make them WRs or HBs so they would take some hits and get tuff some turned out to be pretty good . I say we try Buchannon at WR the guy can catch we know this and the guy is Fast we know this also we have nothing to lose hes of no use to us on defense. I know it sounds crazy but Deltha Oneal and others have tried it why not give it a try ?

Khalif Barnes is the Jaqs starting left tackle.
