Not sure what everyone else thinks but....
How did the bungles get good? The answer is simple: Marvin Lewis. How did the Clots D get so much better? Answer: Firing Fangio and then hiring a real D coach...Tony Dungy. The same can be said about the Chargers...They went from laughing stock to a pretty damn good D when they hired Wade Phillips... This point can even be expanded to other sports...Take the UH Bastekball team for an example...Prior to Penders coming on board they has pretty much the same talent as they had the previous ten or so years...Now they are on the verge of cracking the top 25... My Point is that this team went from respecable to the toilet in less then a year. Yes the O has been bad!! But, there have been signs of improvment in the last couple of games. The D on the other hand just plain sucks!! The Buchannon trade was just plain stupid. Letting Glenn and Sharper go was just as stupid. With this stuff in mind we must admit that the team has some serious coaching and front office problems... Overall this team has some talent (DR, DD, AJ, JM, are just a few). The biggest issue we have is getting someone who can coach them up. I think Bob should think about Wade Phillips. Games are won with D!!!! |

I'm all for Phillips as a D-Coordinator but he bites it big time as a head coach. Look at his record with the Broncos and Bills.

1-whatever we are happen because of total organizational break downs. coaching is a big part, but Casserly and the players own some of it too.

Will this be the time Houston(1-11) beats Tennessee(3-9)? Well I guess we just have to watch the game on Sunday to find out.

you gotta remember that capers came in as a defense-first head coach. now, i agree that defense wins championships, but how about taking a shot next year with reggie bush lining up all over the field a-la marshall faulk and pete carroll calling the shots on the sidelines?
