Larry Mayer, of ChicagoBears.com, reports Chicago Bears LB Brian Urlacher (hamstring) was forced to leave practice Wednesday, July 28, after suffering a hamstring injury. He walked under his own power to a cart and then was driven off the field. He's set to undergo an MRI Thursday, July 29. "He got a pretty good pull," said general manager Jerry Angelo. "We'll know more (Thursday). (I'm) not really optimistic that it's going to be something that's going to be a few days. (It will be) probably a little longer than that. We'll see for sure (Thursday)."

Gosh I hate to hear that. He's a great player and fun to watch. I was just reading something about him the other day...if I recall it had something to do with his workout efforts this off-season and how he had gotten his body fat ratio down to some obscene number.

I also hate to hear that but that will help the Texans. Is he still expected to play against them now?

It would be shocking if he didnt play against us because of this injury, seeing how the bears game isn't 'til December...

John Clayton, of ESPN.com, reports Chicago Bears LB Brian Urlacher (hamstring) will miss four-to-six weeks due to a hamstring injury. Urlacher pulled the hamstring during practice Wednesday, July 28, but he could be able to participate in the Friday, Sept. 3, preseason finale at the Cleveland Browns or be ready for the 2004 season opener Sunday, Sept. 12, against the Detroit Lions.
