Broke his ankle today, first thought it was a sprain but NFL Live just said that x-rays revealed it was a break.

Sucks for the Jags...

Yeah I came to post that as well. So he will be out for about a month? So he may not play Christmas Eve.

maybe the texans will give us a bit of a christmas present when they play the jags, and if fred taylor is out again, we might beat them

David Garrard is their backup QB...he's good...JAX will be fine, and plus, Leftwich will be back before the 4-6 timetable...yall watch.

I would kind of doubt he is back before the 4-6 weeks. A broken ankle isn't something that generally heals real fast and ESPN was saying his doctors thought it would most likely be longer than 4-6 weeks.

I like Leftwich and hope he has a speedy return. I wish we had a QB who would stay in the pocket with guts and complete a pass with a defender in his face. Just once, just once.

Yea I'd have to agree. He's a guy that has been durable AND plays hurt.

It is a real blow to the Jags, especially with the playoffs right around the corner. Hopefully Garrard will be solid. He wont be spectacular, but he will contribute.

Leftwich is supposed to be out 4-6 weeks. Taking into consideration the type of MAN he is, I'll say it'll be 3-5 weeks ;-)

Man, hate to hear about any player getting hurt, even on a division rival.

I hope he has a speedy recovery and is 100%. I'd take watching the Jags win over the Colts any day of the week.
