Default We Need a Bobby Knight

:brickwall In simplest terms, the Texans need a coach who is just as aggressive and maybe as abusive as Bobby Knight... something that Dom Capers knows nothing about. Capers is a non-motivational speaker/coach. His actions filter throughout the rest of the coaching staff, which in turn, filters down to the rest of the players.

We all know how explosive Bobby Knight has been in the past, but it certainly grabs the attention of his players.

Sure, I know I'm comparing a college basketball coach to a so-called NFL coach, but it's obvious that the Capers method of coaching isn't working.

No! We don't need Bobby Knight nor do we need his mentor Woody Hayes. Yes, we need a coach who holds people accountable, but there is a big difference in that and what Hayes and Knight have represented.

I wasn't saying that we need Bobby Knight... we just need someone who doesn't hand-hold the players by saying "We gave it our best. We just have to try harder next time." And then, come out during the press conference and say, "Obviously we're disappointed with the way the game turned out, we just did not execute at crunch time."

I mean, let's face fact, the Texans were beat by a team who was lead by a third-string QB and an interim head coach.
