Yes Davis had only 70+ yards rushing, but would we be gloating about Carr as much if Davis did not make a great catch and run for the second TD of the game?

Pitts, for one, looked fantastic yesterday. If Carr had progressed at the same pace.....well I wouldn't be looking at a 1-TEN record!

I am not going to consider Carr's performance wether it be pleasant or otherwise until we have a true "Pass protecting" OL. If think we will draft an OT and move Pitts to the other side, then it will hopefully give us pass protection on the outside and run blocking on the inside. Then we might be able to see what Carr is able to do with a new OL, offensive coordinator, and HC. At that point, there will be no excuses for Carr.

At that point, there would be no excuses needed.

You got that yesterday and it resulted in a loss. Our offense put up 3 points in the second half. I should throw a disclaimer out there, I happen to root for the Texans not for individuals.

The stupid Rams DC had a DE in coverage on Dom. As they say in the beer commercial...."Brilliant!" Carr had his best game since the Viking game so he has shown he can play well against pitiful defenses. I thought it was encouraging but the bottom line was only one QB walked off the field with a win on his last drive. Too bad it wasn't our guy that found a way to secure the walk off TD.

The question is where does Bob McNair draw the line for David Carr. I am with you on this. I think that given a little better conditions, a coach with a philosophy that matched the talent, and a pass blocking LT David Carr will flourish.

Carr would jump off a bridge for Capers in year one, now I think Carr would want to push Capers off the bridge (this is a metaphor ... I think ).

I was with him until Heath Shuler. But then again it was most likely a dig at Carr and Casserly.

You seriously can't blame Carr for the onside kick and 2 scores against our defense. Sure the offense could have done a better job of getting past the 50, but the defense is clearly to blame for this loss. Throwing 300 yards with 3 TD's and 1 int is hardly anything to critique at this point. It's becoming blatantly clear that even when Carr does great people just can't seem let it go and can't actually determine what our problems really are. It's a team game, replacing Carr would be like replace a nut in the system when there is a gapping hole that needs to be repaired.

Carr played his best game of the year. However, there were things that he could have done better managing the game in the second half - such as staying in bounds on a scramble (Davis could have also), and the one that stung me was DC having the balled snapped with 8 and 5 seconds left on the play clock when we were trying to shorten the game. He has no feel for clock/game management.
