Default I have an idea

Here's an idea, let's stop coming up with all these off-the-wall mock drafts and wait until the NFL season and college bowl games are done so we know the draft order will be and have a better idea of the relative rankings of college players rather than wasting so much time coming up with these speculative drafts that have so many undecided variables to them.

It's more fun to think about who the Texans can draft in the offseason then to think about how bad this season is going.

Mocks help people get familiar with the names and the talent level of the guys coming out. Most of us do not have the time to keep up with hundreds of colleges...while many of the mocks are somewhat ridiculous, they do give the others a chance to google the names of the guys before the draft so they are familiar with the guys who will be called on April 29th. We hold our very own mock draft here in the forum each year...it's kind of a tradition now. Heck, the combine is only 3 months away.

Since doing Mocks and follwing the Draft the past two/three years it really helps increase your football awareness of players around the league as they continue to move on and develop. I would imagine after another few years you would have a better understanding of most all the players, where they went to school, drafted by whom, considered a draft gem or draft bust etc. etc. etc......its pretty to educate others about this or that player when watching & discussing games or match-ups like you got the inside scoop because you've actually followed these players for years all the way thru College into the Pro's
