![]() Looks like the Titans got a gem. He put up great numbers last year for the Super Bowl Champs. Smith’s career totals include 1,481 carries for 5,713 yards (3.9 average) and 47 touchdowns. He spent four seasons in Buffalo (1997-00) before joining the Patriots for three years (2001-03). He led New England in rushing in all three of his seasons there, two of which ended with Super Bowl victories (XXXVI and XXXVIII). He owns two career 1,000-yard seasons (1998 and 2001) and has led his team in rushing in five of his seven seasons (1997, 1998, 2001, 2002 and 2003). "Tennessee presented the best option to me to win a third Super Bowl ring,” Smith said. ....... NO!!! Last edited by JustBonee; 07-22-2004 at 09:21 PM. |

i don't understand why you would sign him to a multi-year deal...especially with chris brown...the kid from colorado is going to be big for tennessee this year...they just gotta give him a chance...personally i thought he was one of the best back two years ago...davis was a surprise and larry johnson hasn't done a thing in the nfl because he's behind the priest

The Titans needed someone who could back up Brown and be prepared to start if Brown gets injured. I don't think Brown has played a full season without missing some time to injury in college or the pros.
