Default Hope?

I've been living in Houston for 22 of my 26 years on this fine earth and have been a HUGE Houston sports fan for as long as I can remember. The Oilers were my first love and for the most part they fielded great teams since I've been cheering them on. This is the first time I can remember loving a loosing team as much as I do. Every sunday the dagger in my heart gets turned a little more... but I stay hopefull. These are hardtimes. With so many holes in OUR team its hard to pinpoint an area that if fixed, could bring an end to our woes. What I hope for throughout the remainder of the season is what I hoped for during our first year... consistant improvement. I wont go into any game expecting a win anymore. I just want to see us rush the ball better, pass the ball better and field a much better defense. This may be asking too much due to the lack of faith the team seems to have in eachother and the coaching staff. As you can see by my Avater I'm no longer a fan of Capers and Co. The sooner he goes the better? I dont know the answer to that. What I do know is that if this team doesnt give us fans something to be atleast a little proud of soon... there will be very few of US fans remaining when good things do start to happen.

I love my city and my team... the good times will be just that much sweeter due to the strugles we are dealing with now.
