Default Seahawks safety Ken Hamlin is in serious condition

Coming from Seattle today ....

Seattle Seahawks safety Ken Hamlin is in serious but stable condition at Harborview Medical Center for skull, brain and hand injuries suffered when he was assaulted outside a nightclub following the team’s 42-10 victory Sunday night, the team said today.
Hamlin will remain in the intensive-care unit for the coming days and could need several weeks to recover, team physician Dr. Stan Herring said during a press conference at team headquarters.
Hamlin was struck on the left side of his head, resulting in a skull fracture and a blood clot that require constant monitoring. Surgery was not expected to be necessary, Herring said, but that could change depending on whether the clot gets bigger.
“He has a skull fracture,” Herring said. “He has a small subdural hematoma and he has some bruising of the brain tissue. He will be kept in the intensive-care unit at Harborview as we monitor him closely for the next 24-48 hours.

Boy he likes to stay out late! The game was a night game..he's out there banging heads for 3 hours and then he goes to a nightclub? I think a nice soft bed would suit me more. I hope he recovers completely.

I heard on the radio that he got into it with someone in the bar, and had to be restrained by the bouncers for about twenty minutes. Then once he calmed down, he left and they jumped him a the intersection near the bar.

Sidenote: If these Bouncers could handle an NFL safty for twenty minutes, we should sign them up for the O-line. Holding back someone for 5 seconds should be a piece of cake for them.

Probably Hawk fans attacking their own players. I hear they are real stinkers!

Yeah, but are they the kind of bouncers that sit around thinking about bouncing, watching Roadhouse and fondling themselves?

"Seattle police detectives are investigating whether a man found shot to death near Seattle's Seward Park early Monday is connected to the fight that left a Seattle Seahawks player with a fractured skull, according to police and published reports."

Hamlin had better start taking himself and his date to a safer bar, or maybe
a safer neighborhood. According to this article, the cops are investigating
a homicide which they also are checking out for a possible link with Hamlin's
altercation.
