I'm a student at Texas Tech so I was at the game, but I was wondering if anyone watched it, and if they did, DID ANYONE SEE DWAYNE SLAY KILL THAT QB!? It was cold as ice.

Please, as a Red Raider alumni myself, never use the phrase "cold as ice" again.

all three of his hits that caused fumbles were spectacular
Tivo was invented for #3 I liked how by the end of the game the whiny announcers had gone from reading the paper that said "Slay is one of the hardest hitters in the conference blah, blah, blah" to just blurting things like "He hits harder than anybody I've ever seen in NCAA football" Every time you see the replay on television you can almost feel the network disappointment that the hits are clean and legal I cannot wait for Slay to lay into the little crybaby next Saturday edit: link - http://www.kcbd.com/Global/story.asp?S=3984239 two videos on the top left Last edited by astrofan; 10-16-2005 at 03:17 PM. |

Slay is great when it comes to run defense, but he still has some shortcomings. since he's so aggressive against the run, he's susceptible to play-action. since VY is becoming a much more effective passer, look for UT to exploit that. he's also got a fiery disposition which means he's prone to dumb penalties. he had two personal fouls against Nebraska (one for unsportsman like conduct and another for a late hit, i think).
