Default Just DO it, DO it!

Put Jerome opposite Andre or in a slot, at least... and try Ragone late 3rd 4rth quarter.
How many back up QB's lead a team in later years or come in behind an injured QB and make a difference other than the Young, Bono backup base and Ben behind Tommy? I can't name them all but I would at least like to try it.

Neither was Tom Brady till he got his chance....Brady was an 5th round pick every team passed on that nobody thought would be a solid starter and would never beat out 1st overall draft pick Drew Bledsoe.

Remember, Tony Banks is #2 on the depth chart.

They won't pass him up to put in Ragone.

Well getting Ragone in would see how well Wade is at protecting a QB's blindside

Don't you just hate when people squish ideas . What would Ragone do lose a game or only get into the endzone once ?

Talent has a ton do with success. Belichick (not billick btw) was run out of town in Cleveland where the fans hated him. Funny how he goes to a team with better talent and is the greatest coach ever now.

It does'nt matter who's coaching who when its time to try something different ... :brickwall or I guess you continue to try running through the wall instead of going around it .

Yeah, the unproven thing gets tired. Carr was unproven in 2002. Every QB and every draftee is unproven at some point.

By the way, Brady was almost a 7th round pick--he was the 33rd pick of the 6th round.

Bellichik is 10 times the coach Capers is. Cleveland notwithstanding, he took a team with a 5th rd QB, no number #1 WR, a well below avg starting RB, and an avg at best oline without a #1 pick on it, and turned it into an offense capable of putting points on the board, and winning multiple SB's. Part of how he did that was assembling a great defense. That takes people who know how to draft, and use their picks wisely, and it also takes great coaching. I would trade Capers/Casserly for Belichik/Pioli in a heartbeat.

Look at Drew Brees. He stunk all to high heaven. Just look at him now. Thanks to a dependable OLine.

Why would Ragone be funny for the Texans - because he's actually been successful at every level when he's had a chance to play a significant amount of time?

I'd like to see him play at some point, even 4th quarter mop up duty, just to give him some time. If we threw him in as starter no one would tolerate him taking a whole 2-3 games to get in the flow.

Trust me, bringing Ragone in would not help the team at all, although I would like to see Mathis be used more in the offense.

How could you be sure that bringing Ragone or Tony (since he's #2), would not help the team at all? You can't recall any team that allowed someone else to try their hand at a QB postion without their "#1" being hurt, then get a few wins under their belt? At all?... Not to keep using Pitt, but didn't that happen back in... whatever year(s) the Steelers went through QB's during that Super Bowl mission before and after Cordell Stewart?

Ragone is left handed. You thought AJ didn't get the ball now, put in a left hander and that throw becomes even harder. My point is, it's not that easy to go with Ragone.
